Biting Back

by besatree on January 20, 2010

What a scam… these demands from taxman. Don’t pay and your face connects with backhand. Get slammed by Uncle Sams clan if you’re not married, don’t have a kid and don’t own land.
No plan was alright by me, but I got stifled with a rifle in-between my teeth. Trying to speak seems like such a bleak thought, can’t fight when path’s been traveled and the battles been lost.
The double cross is difficult while double loss is typical, fist full of dollars gets pecked at until invisible. It’s miserable, these individuals all turned into vegetables. It never crossed my mind I’d be swindled by some edibles.

i enjoyed thoroughly.

(p.s. i don’t think i really know what “poignant” means, but it seems like the right adjective for this piece.)
