new spins on the “old”

by rottenrocks on March 8, 2010

these are newer and better at least in my mind.  sorry about all these images, I might delete the last one I posted just so they dont take up so much space. but I am showing these up here in Arcata in a gallery type setting with one of my classes,  and I am pretty stoked off them. Just thought I would share.  you are all amazing individuals, never stop creating all the beautiful things you create!

these moments are haunting. such beautiful work my friend, that it leaves me in awe and wonder. the expressive textures and ghoslty subjects create an ephermeral reaction that leaves me twitching and wreathing on the floor. are these long exposure shots, and is that the same subject in 3 different places? i love this way of shooting.

thank you for the beautiful comment, i didnt mean to make you twitch and wretch but, i am aiming for photos that I like and that challenge and make people feel something.

And yeah they are all long exposures in a studio with all the lights turned off, and I hold the flash in my hands and flash it when I get into different spots and positions, most of the photos I do are all of me, so yeah there is three of me in that one shot.
again thank you for the “kind” comments, they made my day!
Nick
